Me, Chester Castle and the GfN bird...

During lockdown we have all seen all sorts of heroic acts from local people in and around Chester. We’d like you to nominate a local hero who has significantly helped you, your loved ones or your community to cope during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Good for Nothing Chester, a group of passionate volunteers accelerating projects across Chester, approached me with this idea and so I am working with them to make it happen!

Heroic acts could be looking after vulnerable people, doing the shopping, creating support groups and networks. Anything that’s positively impacted people during lockdown.

You can nominate anyone from the Chester area, and you can submit as many nominations as you’d like. Nominations must be in by midnight 30th September 2020.

The names of our Local Heroes will be read out at a special event and their names will be projected on the side of the castle walls once lockdown eases, most likely sometime in Sept 2020.

Please spread the word about this campaign on social media using #MakeChester #ChesterHeroes and tag @GFNchester
