MP 'gets the kettle on' for local residents

Chester MP Chris Matheson has promised to ‘get the kettle on’ for local residents at a series of coffee mornings and afternoons during the next week.

The events, that are open to all residents across Chester, will be dotted around the city and are an informal opportunity for local people to come and raise local issues or discuss their ideas.

Chris said: “It’s vitally important that MPs are in touch with local residents and that’s what this is about. It’s less formal than one of my advice surgeries, it’s just a cuppa and a chat really. I’ll even bring a few biscuits.”

The events are drop-in sessions and take place on Friday 12th August at the Catholic Club on Brook Street from 9.45am – 11.15am, then Saint Theresa’s Social Club in Blacon from 12pm – 1.30pm. On Thursday 18th August the coffee morning will be held in Westminster Park Community Centre from 10am – 11.30am.
