Don't close the banks in Hoole

We the undersigned respectfully request that the Chief Executive Officers of the NatWest Bank and Lloyds Bank reconsider the proposed closures of their branches in Hoole, Chester. We believe that Hoole is a distinct local community with a character of its own and that local banking adds to the attractiveness of Hoole as a shopping destination for people from local neighbourhoods and much further afield. The Hoole banks are convenient for local businesses and local residents and we wish for them to remain open as they are widely recognised as a valuable asset in the community.

I think the closure is a joke. The Natwest marketing has people believe they can continue with local banking, but the reality is they want all domestic customers to move to an online banking service. Something I personally refuse to do. I will be seriously considering moving banks of this closure stands.

I HAVE A PERSONAL ACCOUNT AT HOOLE AND WOULD CONSIDER TRANSFERRING THIS TO ANOTHER BANK IF HOOLE BRANCH CLOSES—MY BS HAS ALREADY OFFERED FINACIAL INDUCEMENTS FOR ME TO TRANSFER. ALSO THE COMPANY (SOLICITORS) FOR WHICH I WORK DEPOSIT SUBSTANTIAL SUMS @ HOOLE NWB ON A DAILY BASIS.

As a pensioner, having a local bank is much better than having to go into town; it’s safer for one thing… doesn’t cost as much for another!

Don’t close this busy branch that is at the centre of our local community. People don’t want to drive into Chester and pay high parking prices just to deposit money and access banking services.

Having closed the branch in Boughton in recent years, the closure of the Hoole branch of NatWest shows how little regard they have for their customer’s needs. What exactly do we get for our exorbitant bank charges? We will now have to have to pay for parking or the cost of transport into the city centre if we want to have the privilege of actually visiting our bank and possibly speaking to a human being. The banks want everyone to conduct their business online thus reducing their overheads and making more staff redundant, whilst making even more obscene profits so that they can pay their Chairman and his cohorts their outrageous bonuses. This decision has clearly been taken in NatWest’s interest and definitely not in the interest of its customers. We must challenge it with every means at our disposal because it will undoubtedly impact on the small independent businesses in Hoole as well, as more people will shop at the multi nationals in the city once they have made the trip.

Since our last meeting at your surgery at the Friday 3pm Forum, I have discovered the following item on the Facebook page of Councillor Louise Gittens of CWAC. > It is an appeal by Darren Henley for people to ask their MP to sign the

EDM 289 petition to support access to £7.7 Billion of Arts and Culture Investment. I should hope that this action should make life a little more rosy for my Concept for Chester to attain International Performing Art’s Stadium Status with the

Sarah Bryant Memorial Stadium for Performing Arts, Music and Concerts for the UK City of Chester. You have the relevant flyers Mr.Matheson, already in your possession I do believe !!

You should also be aware that

Mr. Martin Band of Environmental Associates,

Architects of Chester , is ready and willing to design a new 3000 seater Stadium for Chester. He does require the benefit of a Royal Commission to engage in this project from The Princess Royal, Princess Anne. She is reliably informed of this project concept already and I hope in the fullness of time at the appropriate moment she will give her ascent to it’s worthy and future progress.

A new site for the Sarah Bryant Memorial Stadium is now required and I trust you will do all that is possible to assist the project in this direction.

Additionally there are two separate points worthy of mention here.

I have outlined the Concept of a new Women’s Refuge dedicated to Neda Soltan ( RIP ), to Councillor Louise Gittens whom I hope will endeavour to support the idea and also Councillor Razia Daniels has been informed.

Lastly my second remaining point is with regard to a special body armour known as

" DragonSkin ", it is at least twice as effective at stopping Armour Piercing Bullets as Kevlar, and will protect the future luckless WPC Yvonne Fletcher ’s of this world. Originally American, it was and I believe is now utilised by the US Navy Seals amongst other American Special Forces.

It is incumbent upon you ,

    Mr. Matheson, to walk into

David Cameron at Cobra, and demand the procurement of

DragonSkin body armour for all our servicemen and our police officers, from President Obama.

    Thank you in Advance,
